Karen and Colin welcome you to Tiffyhall!
Tiffyhall is located on the Orkney mainland, in the parish of Deerness. It is one of the oldest properties in the parish. Both cottages sit in eight acres which has been divided into 3 fields. One of which has had 2 flight ponds and the previous owners planted a variety of trees which is an ongoing project and guests are welcome to walk around and have a look at what we have been doing. Certain times of the year we have seasonal pick your own vegetables grown in our kitchen garden and in the grounds of the cottage.
As far as we know Tiffyhall stood derelict for at least 50 years prior to the previous owners purchasing it in 2004. Tiffyhall consisted of one traditional cottage, attached barn and steadings and what use to be the main residence was being used for agricultural storage. The original cottage and attached barn were renovated in 2007/08. Both of which were then used as private accommodation. In 2010 the cottage was let for holiday lets and the larger barn conversion was commenced. In September 2013 the 2nd barn conversion became the main residence of the previous owners. We bought Tiffyhall in September 2016 and hope to welcome our guests to Tiffyhall for many years to come.
